Krishi Vigyan Kendra, CAZRI, Johdpur

The KVK, Jodhpur as per the mandate stipulated by ICAR is involved in following activities.

• Conducting vocational training (on and Off campus) for farmers, farm women & extension functionaries in the disciplines of crop production, Horticulture, Plant Protection, Animal Husbandry, Home Science, Agro-forestry through On & Off campus trainings.
• Conducting Demonstrations at farmers field related to the above disciplines in our five adopted villages namely Dhundaria, Kharda, Khudiyala Newara and Mewasa of Osian Panchayat Samitee.
• Conducting On Farming Testing trials at farmer's field in relation to the specific problems in the areas through pre-approved programme.
• Management of demonstration units at KVK farm for effective training & demonstration purpose.
• Organisation of field days on Kharif & Rabi crops and Gum induction in kummat (A. senegal) plants.
• Organisation of world food day/ women day in agriculture.
• Scientist farmers interaction in campus as well as farmers field. VIII. Diagnostic services)  farmer visit to KVK, Scientists / SMS farmer interaction in campus as well as farmers field.
• Campaigns on Tree plantation, Animal health camp, Rodent Control etc.
• Co-Ordination with the line departments at district level for above activities.
