PARTICIPATION
The Conference proposes to bring together experts from several international research and development organizations like UNCCD, UNESCO, ICRISAT, ICARDA, CSIRO, etc., and expects participation of scientists from several countries researching on arid lands, including Australia, China, Israel, Japan, USA, the countries of the Middle East, and African continent, besides researchers from India and its neighbouring countries. Participation of policy planners, key decision-makers and stakeholders, including farmers and civil societies, is also expected. The focal points of the conference will be presentation of state-of-the-art papers on research achievements, real-world applications and innovative techniques for coping with various problems of arid zone, and offering viable recommendations. It is expected that exchange of ideas by participants of various nations will help in establishing effective networks for collaboration.
